WHY I GOT IT RIGHT AND YOU DIDN’T

On this day marking the the 4,000th American killed in the Iraq War Jim Henley breaks it down for all you people out there who supported the invasion of Iraq and explains why people who opposed the war, like him {and me}, got it right and people who supported the invasion didn't.

{Hint — part of the explanation, as Henley points out, can be found in the fact that those of us who opposed the war are simply much smarter than those who supported it but that's only a small part of the explanation.  I'd posit the theory that opponents of the war are probably better in bed in addition to being smarter but that supposition goes uncommented upon in Henley's piece for some reason and really, when you get down to it, it may not have any real bearing on why we were right about everything and those who supported the invasion and war were wrong about everything.  But it is important to note that you can almost guarantee that all of them were lousy lays.  I mean, how could they not be?}

Go read Henley's piece and then, if you were a war supporter, please,  Shut The Fuck Up! About everything. Forever. Because with your idiotic support for the war you lost any expectation of ever being taken seriously or even listened to by right thinking people for the rest of your life.

In fact, ripping out your tongue as penance and to preempt any possibility of future verbal dumbfuckery on your part would be great.

Go ahead.  I'll stand right here and watch and make sure you don't choke to death on your own fucking blood.

I promise.

you fucking losers

People ask why i hate hillary clinton so much and it's IRAQ IRAQ IRAQ.  During the buildup to war, i was shooting meth like it was my job and i still knew the rationale for war was total bullshit. Hard to believe a fucking piece of shit junkie like  me had better judgement on Iraq than a sitting Senator with Presidential ambitions. She AND John McCain should be held up to ridicule for their treasonous compliance that got us in this fucked up mess.

  2. Scott Says:

    RIGHT?!?!?

At the time she signed on to authorize "War Forever" I was slamming an eight ball of meth every 48-72 hours and even as a completely bat shit crazy tweaker it was painfully obvious to me that the cassus belli hadn't been made or met and we were being lied down the road to war by our nitwit in chief enabled by politicians and a public too tremulous and fearful to face facts honestly.

And that, as much or more than even her behavior in this campaign is why I'm not supporting Hillary.

  3. Sue Says:

Gee, I wasn't shooting meth, and I knew going into Iraq was the wrong thing to do. I just shook my head and hoped I wouldn't have to visit my relatives in Canada. But here we are near the end with a chance to get out now. Let's hope we don't fuck this up too.

  4. Ad Says:

Why all this yelling and screeming "I was right and they were wrong" Why are you guys all, acting like little children instead of getting the election strategies in sync. All this leads up to is democrats sefdestructing their candidates, and McKain winning and the USA staying in Irak even longer. I feel pity on your country, there we agree. Why don't you get your economy together, keep some more money in savings accounts; save even more and turn around your budget deficit by not aspiring to rule the world and be the best in everything. Talk to us europeans, seriously, instead of sliding back into the old isolationist strategies.

  5. Continuum Says:

And, as for ripping out tongues.  I would rather have the pleasure of ripping out the war fucks tongues, that allow them to do so for themselves.  (BTW – this to AD, . . . when the Europeans finally shoulder their own responsibilities for the upteen million other cluster fucks in the last 100 years, then maybe I'll listen to you.  In the meantime STFU.)

  6. Scott Says:

Yeah, I love how clowns like Ad like to claim we want to rule the world. But people like Ad were only too fucking happy for those FIFTY YEARS that we kept the Soviets from rolling through the Fulda Gap and turning Western Europe into one big playground for Stalin's KGB and Erich Honecker's Staasi torture squads.

Yes Ad, it must be really nice for you to be able to sit back in the comfort of your American bought and paid for peace and prosperity in the Netherlands and lecture us on how how badly we've fucked things up.

But I bet you weren't so unhappy with how we managed to have things turn out for your entire continent during the period 1945-1989 when we were defending your sorry asses at American taxpayer expense.  Were you?

You know what Ad, a lot of us already know that we've fucked things up and we know it without help from some effete, prissy Euro trash who clearly has no fucking memory of WORLD WAR ONE AND WORLD WAR TWO!

But I'll tell you what I remember Ad, I remember that your homeland was occupied by the Nazis for five years, had most of its Jews and gays shipped off to death camps and would still be a third rate Nazi territory and you'd be goose stepping around, zeig heiling and singing Deutcheland Uber Fucking Alles and not running a gay porno blog out of your house  — if you didn't get rounded up and gassed first — if it weren't for my country and people like my grandfather who fought and died to free your people.

Oh, and just in case they didn't teach you what the term STFU means in that English As A Second Language course you probably took and that Continuum used in his comment Ad — it means SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Awwww, Scott I just luuuurrrrve it when you open this particular can of Extra Strength Whup-Ass!  Not sending you XO's though, because mine have grrll cooties. FunnyD

  8. *Martin Says:

Seems you guys are happiest sticking to and believing in the easy-to-swallow demogagy and not try to unearth hidden agendas and fallacies. It would only make you doubt, and thus feel uncomforatble. Wars are almost never fought for glory, freedom, democracy and all that goodness your leaders say they are aspiring to. Wars are more often fought over raw metials, spheres of influence (and with it, opportunities for trade, especially by multinationals). Wars are a blessing to the arms industry too. It would help if one has a bit of insight in history, and not the official, rewritten history. Such acceptance of what really happened has already opened our eyes to fact that so many Jews were rounded up in Holland during WWII, and believe me, we find that disturbing. But don't forget one was shot, together with one's relatives if any help was discovered. Americans have never experienced such threats. They were comfortably trading with Germany and if they won, good for trade. Turned out, after Stalingrad they bet on the wrong horse. Only then… And that's just one example of how you could re-interpret history, or at least question all the rhetoric, for that's all you guys come up with. There's little hope attitudes will change; not while thinking in terms of the greatest country in the world, god's own country, and a lot of flag waving and patriotism. So righteous, the truth at your side, how could anyone else be right too? Sleep well, and if you cannot swallow it, throw some abuse at us, or simply tell us we haven't yet reached the level of civilisation Americans have reached. Oh, and I do not always agree with Ad, and I do not suck his cock.

  9. Scott Says:

Martin who the fuck said anything about "the greatest country in the world"?  I admitted in the comments that we've screwed up and if you even bothered to read even a single one of my posts before you chimed in you'd know that I'm highly critical of my own country for embarking on stupid wars that benefit nobody except the arms industry.

That having been said, I took Ad to task for his blinkered refusal to acknowledge that the lives both you and Ad he live right now were bought largely by American dollars and lives while he sits back in the Netherlands and accuses America of wanting to rule the world.  Were that the case Martin you'd all be part of the USA right now because once we won World War 2 for you and saved you from the Nazis we'd have done exactly what Hitler tried to do and annexed your country.

And yes, I'm sure you do find it "disturbing" that Jews and gays were rounded up and sent off to death camps.  I find that "disturbing" too.  But you know what else I find "disturbing"?  I find it "disturbing" that there was a large percentage of people in France, Belgium and yes Martin even the Netherlands that actively and voluntarily conspired with the Nazis to round up those Jews and gays so they could be sent off to be gassed.  That's what I find "disturbing".

So get down off your fucking sanctimonious high horse Martin because your nation's history and it's people are just as dirty and flawed as mine.

    Oh, and nobody here gives a shit if you suck Ads cock or not {whatever that was supposed to mean?}

  10. kyle michel sullivan Says:

I opposed the invasion because it was obvious from the beginning that it would be a disaster.  Anyone who paid attention to the news — and I mean REAL attention, not just the sound-bites and headlines — could tell Bush was lying, Cheney was lying, Rice was lying, every damned one of them was lying.  You could tell it by how they kept hammering home the whole idea of "weapons of mass destruction," like it was some new slogan offered up by Madison Avenue.  You could tell by just the sheer number of people and governments around the world who said, "Wait a minute, this doesn't add up."  You could tell by how anyone who DIDN'T go along with the drumbeat was being called "traitor" and "unpatriotic" with the fervor of Hitler's jack-booted thugs.  You could tell it just by paying attention to history!  We weren't right about Iraq because we were smarter or more aware — we were right because we refused to be let ourselves be lead to the edge of a cliff by our lemming-in-chief without absolute proof that he knew what the hell he was doing — proof he could never provide since every argument he's made to bolster his claim that what he did was right has been proven false and just plain idiotic.  And now people are getting pissed at realizing they've been duped…but do you think they'll blame Bush Co?  No.  They're already trying to shift the blame to those who told them not to do it in the first place — those damn liberals and Democrats.  And the media is happily helping them.

  11. kyle michel sullivan Says:

Do some better research, Martin.  Denmark was also occupied by Germany yet lost fewer than 100 of its Jewish citizens to the Nazi death camps (according the The Simon Weisenthal Center).  And they faced the same threats as the Dutch.  The difference is, in Holland the Jews were just Jews.  In Denmark, they were Danish citizens who happened to be Jewish.  The same basically goes for Norway and Finland.  But that says a lot about the anti-Semitism ingrained in much of Dutch society.

  12. Drub Says:

Take solace that some of the "ugly" remarks made my some Americans in your comments don't own passports. Do sympathize with me and Gore Vidal for having to breathe the same air as these ingrates.
