QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Now they tell us. Sixteen years after institutionalizing a denigration of gay people, the Pentagon is discovering that its “don’t ask, don’t tell’’ policy has been a moral catastrophe.”

James Carroll in the Boston Post commenting upon an article in the upcoming military journal The Joint Forces Quarterly that was written by the office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to be released later this month.

The article, based upon a study by the National Defense University, found that the DADT policy had seriously damaged military morale and negatively impacted the ability of the armed services to accomplish their mission.

And yet, per the Obama administration, the White House and the President are too busy to bother with doing anything about Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.

    I will be in Arlington National Cemetery on October 10th at noon to protest DADT during a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns by Lt. Dan Choi. Hopefully this will spur some action on this biased policy. I urge others to join this protest if they are able. Go here to sign up:
