Hey little sister who's your Superman?

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I’m glad that you’re accepting responsibility. I think ultimately with your leaving that you accept the culpability for the worst tragedy since 9/11. And I really mean that.”

Senator Rand Paul {R — Dumbfuckistan} to Secretary to State Hillary Clinton during hearings on the Benghazi embassy attack.

As Blue Texan over at C & L reminds us and the good senator — Rand seems to have conveniently forgotten the seven attacks on U.S embassies during the presidency of C+ Augustus Bush, the 20 murdered 5 and 6 year old children in Newtown, Connecticut, and the 2,000 people killed during Hurricane Katrina.

But hey, when you’re competing with Jim Inhofe for the title of Stupidest United States Senator in the History of the Republic™ this kind of forgetfulness is to be expected.

Rand Paul, along with the rest of his GOP tea bagger cohorts, is more interested in political grandstanding than in finding the truth.

Starting with Paul’s sham, self-made medical accreditation, he is more interested in form over substance, in scoring political points than in actual governance, in appealing to the basest of his tea bagging base.

Paul is a political drag queen whose persona was fantasized in the warped illogic of Ayn Rand.

These tea baggers are not part of the commonweal, but instead they are a pus filled sores on the body politic.

In other words, Rand Paul is just your garden variety Republican asshole.

  2. Todd in DC Says:

I was thinking the same thing, Scott. Teabaggers love to conveniently forget anything that goes against their credo.

Worst tragedy since 9/11? 4 Americans killed? You WISH that were true.

Heck, I wish that were true.

But since this involved Hillary Clinton, even peripherally, it is a major tragedy. A right winger injuring a congresswoman and killing several bystanders is minor. A disturbed person who gets his hands on his mothers semi auto and kills a bunch of kids and several adults is minor.

Of course, these are the same people who were CERTAIN that Romney won by a landslide right up to when Ohio was called, and even a little bit afterwards.

The man is mentally ill, and you can’t blame the crazy for being that way; what you do is put them someplace they where they can’t harm themselves or others. So who’s with me in having this poor, pathetic little man committed?

    Preach it, Brother Scott!

  5. Jeffrey Says:

That hearing was a complete and utter waste of time and a shameless attempt to nullify her running in 2016

  6. wehotom Says:

And then there was the guy who blamed her for not reading cables addressed to her office and she said something like, “The State Dept receives 1.4 million cables a year addressed to me.”

The worst since 9/11? The Necons and the Idiot Dubya’s war in Iraq 4,287 dead over 30,000 wounded many so seriously that we will be caring for them the rest of their lives. Next the Idiot Dubya’s war in Afghanistan with the totals yet to be determined. Nothing else compares to these two since Vietnam. This does not include the over 100,000 civilians killed in Iraq and more in Afghanistan.

Teabaggers memories are as short as their dicks. Their ignorance is simply breathtaking.

“I like pie.” – Ralph Wiggum. (Person with as much sense as the R senators at the Benghazi hearing.)
