Hey little sister who's your Superman?

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“God’s word is true. I’ve come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang Theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell. And it’s lies to try to keep me and all the folks who were taught that from understanding that they need a savior. You see, there are a lot of scientific data that I’ve found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth. I don’t believe that the Earth’s but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was created in six days as we know them. That’s what the Bible says.

And what I’ve come to learn is that it’s the manufacturer’s handbook, is what I call it. It teaches us how to run our lives individually, how to run our families, how to run our churches. But it teaches us how to run all of public policy and everything in society. And that’s the reason as your congressman I hold the Holy Bible as being the major directions to me of how I vote in Washington, D.C., and I’ll continue to do that.”

Congressman Paul Broun {R. Dumbfuckistan} demonstrating in two simple paragraphs why he should be removed from office.

Its that last sentence — right there — where he basically says that the bible is a more important guide to how he legislates than the Constitution that he swore a sacred oath to uphold.

Right there is why he is absolutely unfit to serve as anything other than the guy who cleans out the sewers of his native Athens, Georgia.

Oh, and FYI — Congressman Broun is the Chairman of the House Science Committee.

All the dumbfucks who are mad at Obama and plan to sit out the election need to know that people who believe this whore does (or pretends to, to get votes) will be appointed to the Supreme Court if Romney wins.
You can kiss women’s reproductive rights, Gay rights, and much more goodbye if you don’t work hard to get Democrats elected
    — although we may agree they are imperfect

I know I’m a long way away ….and I do try….but I don’t think I will ever understand Americans…. from someone like Joe Biden to clowns like this…..still, with your help Scott, I’ll keep trying.

  3. Tom Says:

Evolution is a lie to prevent people from becoming Christians? Funny, I thought that’s what creationism was. Statistics show that atheism is on the rise and it will continue to grow as long as people like this continue to brand Christianity as the religion of ignorance and dogma. Not that I’m complaining…

  4. Scott Says:

steve, the easiest way to understand us is to simply accept as fact that as a people we are bat shit fucking crazy.

Once you embrace that simple understanding then everything else about us makes complete sense.

  5. Old Salt Says:

This dumbfuck wants to take us back not just to the 1890s but the 890s when the church ran the governments. We can sit at home and pout that Obama and the Dems are not perfect at our own peril.
There is much that I am in disagreement with Obama about but if the Repukes take over all three branches of government then we can look forward to being governed by the Christian Taliban. You may say that the Dems in the Senate will save us but not if there are 60 Repukes in the Senate.
IF you are that much against Obama at least get off your dead ass and actively support Dems running for the Senate and House.
I can see it now Congress using the Old Testament to make laws. They will take us back to not just before Stonewall but the dark ages.

~Oh, and FYI — Congressman Broun is the Chairman of the House Science Committee.~

Holee Fuck. Holy, holy fuck. How on earth does a blatantly anti-science person get to be chair of the science committee? Well, politics, obviously. Damnit.

  7. Colonel Panic Says:

But he’s a scientist, he says so, therefore it must be true, mustn’t it? I thought I might Google his educational history but I’m too scared. And I’m three thousand miles away from him..

  8. Kevin Says:

I just can’t believe American politics, or worse yet the American voters that elect people like this to public office. Staunch Republicans or Democrats who vote for these morons simply because that’s the party vote. What a waste.

  9. Christopher Says:

The Georgia goober is chairman only of the Investigations and Oversight Sub-committee of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. A Texas goober, Ralph M. Hall, who will be 90 years old in May and has been in the House since 1980, is the chairman of the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. BTW, Hall, in at least one public address, has lumped “global freezing” with global warming and has stated he doesn’t think humans can measure any of this as it is something only God can do. Amazingly, both of these idiots are college graduates: Hall holds a law degree from SMU and Brown is a medical doctor! I begin to understand the darkness witnessed by intellectuals in the sixth century as the Roman lights went out and, like them, I despair. These two goobers in the House are examples of the mainline within the Republican menace.

And, AND, he is running UNOPPOSED.
