I'm Scott and I'm a New Yorker now living in Seattle and Bill is my oldest friend who just finished serving an almost 7 year prison sentence for selling meth.

Bill in Exile originally contained letters written between Bill and me while Bill was in prison as well as a bunch of other shit but Bill has, as of late, opted out of contributing and I've just been too lazy to change the name of the blog.
Some of what this site contains IS DEFINITELY NOT work safe and some of it may not be appropriate for those under 18 years of age. Navigate away if you have doubts. And if I've used an image for which you hold the rights and wish me to remove it or credit it please send me a POLITE email and I will be more than happy to do so.

The sad thing is that the people in those red states are too stupid to realize that voting for Mitt is voting against their own best interests, because they’re too addicted to the GOP rhetoric of fear of the immigrants, fear of the atheists, fear of the Arab world, fear of the gays, etc etc ad infinitum… And Mitt And his GOP cronies know this, and they exploit and manipulate that fear. It seems like this is the fundamental doctrine of the GOP.

They apparently also live on or near military bases because, according to the Defense Commissary Agency, since 2011 $101 million has been spent in commissaries using food stamps.

So to that asshole Mitt Romney, all I can say is “yes, you do owe our veterans, our enlisted personnel and their families food.” Lord knows those people never take responsibility for anyone, personal or otherwise.

When I heard the dude from Dartmouth on All Things Considered re this study the first thing that came to mind was my favorite quote by John Stuart Mill …”Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid people, it is true that most stupid people are conservative.” And as a Progressive liberal from Mississippi (yes there are one or two of us) let me just say ‘sigh’.
