QUOTE OF THE DAY
“I never thought it was a good idea for attorneys to be president anyway.”
A doddering — bordering on senile — Clint Eastwood at the GOP convention last night as he endorsed Mitt Romney.
Eastwood, of course, forgot that Willard is a lawyer with a law degree from Harvard.

I did ask myself whether Eastwood was in full control of his faculties. Scott, was I right to infer that Eastwood was implying that the Presidential specter was cussin’ him out? An honest question.

on my planet, we are entertained by your limited mental capacity. i believe your still at 10%. take it slow, replay it in your mind, determine the effect and outcome to this question. thats all i can say. we are forbidden to interfere.

@jp — Clint made it crystal clear that the imaginary Obama said to tell Mitt to GO FUCK HIMSELF.
You saw repubs laughing at a man with 7 kids by 5 women insulting the office of President

But maybe Clint’s right. After all, Nixon was an attorney, too, so maybe they shouldn’t be. Hell, even Obama’s wiggled out of a couple promises, just like a lawyer (Guantanamo, anyone?). And Mittens has a very one-note take on what law is all about, meaning it’s for thee and not for me…

He also seemed to say (as far as anyone can tell) that the war in Afghanistan was the wrong thing to do in the first place and blamed Obama for not ending it. And the crowd cheered.

Uhh… Abe Lincoln was a lawyer. So were, like, half of our precious ‘founders’
I hope people start talking about the ‘crickets’ heard after;
During Romney’s speech, he said applause line after applause line – Then he says something like, “taking care of the elderly, poor, and those in need” and.. no applause.. no nothing. Just silence. That’s the GOP we have today.
