My four favorite animals are:

Dogs

Elephants

Penguins

Orcas

People don’t even make it into my top ten.

In fact, generally speaking, I’d rather spend time around bumble bees and squirrels than people.

    Dogs, Warthogs (fell in love with them while working on a project at Busch Gardens FL) Ground Hogs and Otters.

    Hominids are overrated.

    Couldn’t agree more; I would have to add in dolphins, beluga whales, sea lions and horses too.

    @ Will, I do grow my own veggies and I’ve never had a problem with the ground hog that lives under my shed. My theory is it has a huge territory and finds plenty to eat. It does help itself to any peaches or apples that fall off the trees, so it’s actually providing me with a service. It’s very entertaining to watch the fat thing waddle around the yard.

    Another favorite animal at #5 is the possum, hilarious to watch.

    He gets treated as your bitch yet shows unconditional love.
    He handles a big trunk well and remembers you forever.
    He is a smart dresser, and unphazed by your cold.
    He has a killer instinct not aimed at you, and a big blow hole that is.

    Plus he doesn’t sting you and he likes to nibble your nuts.

    All rolled into one that sounds like an ideal boyfriend to me.

    So true. When I go to the local cruising forest (we´re in Finland, so it´s not a park but a forest) I find myself spending much more time watching squirrels than men.
