Hey little sister who's your Superman?

SAN FRANCISCO’S FAVORITE SON

Thirty eight years ago this month my great friend Steven Scarborough — aka Hot House Steven here at the blog — arrived in the city of San Francisco with the intention of making it his home.

Steven Scarborough on Castro Street circa 1976/77.

Steven embraced his new hometown and was, in turn, embraced by it.

In a very major way!

Because if you have any doubt at all about that then all you need to do is walk down any street in the Castro with him and in five minutes you’ll realize that simply everybody in that great city knows him and loves him.

Here’s hoping for another thirty eight years Steven!

When Steven arrived in SF, it had only recently become OK for Gay men over 35 to be seen out in a bar SOBER, as it was thought gross, until after Stonewall, for them to be still cruising.

He and I are the same age. He still has all his hair, I hate him.

    Whoa, your mate is hot!

Do you reckon he’s enjoy the company of a fit, attractive, 32-year old, Aussie “cub-in-training”?

As a San Franciscan since ’84 I must say I’ve seen him many times, out and about the ‘Stro. Now, besides wanting to bed him, I really want to meet him.

God, he’s hot. Then, yes. Even more so now.
