FLOORING
We just started to lay down the dance floor surface — it’s three inch wide oak with a heavy duty Black Walnut stain over a sprung flooring surface that will give the dance floor that subtle bounce that you want in a dance floor while also being a bit easier on people’s knees and ankles than a rigid floor.
We also just sealed our polished concrete floors and they look divooooon! I’ll try to get some decent shots of it when I’m at the club later today.
The Funktion One speakers are being installed next week as are the theatrical lights over the dance floor.
In fact, that big rectangular opening behind the push-brooms at the top of the image is where one of the four big, 350 pound Funktion One sub-woofers that flank the dance floor is going to be housed.
Oh, and I’m sifting through resumes and job applications by the boatload.

besides music and acoustics, eye-pleasing bar staff is one crucial element for any gay (Eastern Bloc, Splash). I suggest doing a poll of your bar hiring, post each candidate’s shirtless photo and we the readers (given there are at least 30K everyday) will vote for one.
