ATTENTION COMMENT POSTERS
For some strange reason when some of you are attempting to post comments on the blog you’re seeing a weird message that says “turn on pictures to see the captcha” where the spam catcher math problem should be.
And accordingly, since there’s no math question, you can’t post comments.
It appears that this is a problem largely restricted to those of you who are using Firefox as a browser.
I’ll look into the issue {but make no promises about resolving it} and until it is resolved {or not} I can make two suggestions for those of you who have found yourselves unable to comment but would like to.
First — Try using a differnt browser. IE and Chrome work fine.
Second — Don’t fucking comment.
That is all.

BTW – this comment was made with IE.

I’ve tried to post once but despite being able to see the captcha I have apparently (and quite possibly deservedly) disappeared into the ether. Hope this isn’t a duplicate. Anyway, I wanted to say that I’ve found that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t – that’s in Firefox (and a few variations), Chrome and Chromium, and Opera. Don’t use IE on this penguin-powered machine. I have found that the captcha is more consistently visible in Firefox if one uses the Comments RSS feed..

Or, just ignore the spam catcher and post it anyway.
Works for me.

I have always used Firefox and have never seen anything but the math question. Of course it sometimes tells me I am stupid because I forgot to do the math.
