Hhmmm, I don’t know Scott, I think there is always something one could learn if they are open to receiving the information. A lot of it is common sense really and maybe it just helps to bring out what we already know and motivates people to put that instinct into practice. Of course our world is full of people who lack any form of common sense, I guess in that case they are simply fucked!

I think anyone who makes an effort to try and improve themselves and their lot in life should be applauded – what’s the alternative? – remain ignorant and low functioning because there’s a stigma against self help books? Don’t think I agree with Mr. Greenman.

I give props to Norman Vincent Peale’s “The Power of Positive Thinking,” which New-Ager’s recycled as “Creative Visualization.” I am not politically-correct on this issue; as an introvert, suffering depression, Dr. Peale’s writings did my mental health a world of good. I am not sophisticated enough to not learn from others; who hasn’t had a mentor in life and is the better for it? Or are some just born super-men?
