THE GROOMING STANDARD
How I would have loved for this to have been an aspect of the Grooming Standard when I was in the Marine Corps.
Instead I used to get my ass chewed on by my Sergeant Major for every wayward hair that touched the top of my ear or for any “mooostache hars” that wandered over the corner of the mouth of one of my men.
I don’t think a week went by that I wasn’t lectured/screamed at for my failure to enforce the Grooming Standard among my troops.
Very much in the manner of Sergeant Major John Sixta in a scene from the brilliant HBO miniseries, Generation Kill.

LOVE Generation Kill and have it on DVD. Just wondering though….exactly how accurate a portrail of Marines it really was? Seems from what you always talk about, Scott, it was pretty close.

Its basically spot on as far as its accuracy in portraying Marines, how e operate and behave as well as our way of speaking.

Oh, I’ve said it here before, and I’m saying it here again… I was so lucky to work with the main cast in Namibia. Kelan Lutz is too fucking hot.
